Jennifer Tilly, born on September 16, 1958 in Los Angeles under extremely poor circumstances. Her mother, a failed teacher and actor, was a salesperson for cars while her dad was an auto salesman. Jennifer, the second of the four children in her family, frequently attended her mother for her performances at the theater, and was awed by her. Jennifer's parents divorced at the age of five. Jennifer spent most of her childhood at British Columbia after her mom moved there along with her four siblings. Jennifer did not attend school however, as a child she was very artistic. In Canada she was the target of bullies frequently. The actress began losing interest in theater throughout her high school years. Her mother urged her to take on additional roles in different productions. The mother of all her children to discover a passion for performing arts. She then immediately started acting.
