Brandi passante made an instant celebrity after her appearance on the reality show 'StorageWars' on A&E. Also, it featured Jarrod Schulz who was her boyfriend who dated her for a long time and is now her husband. On the show, storage lockers that have not been paid their rent in the last three months are auctioned off. Brandi and Jarrod run the Now and Then store in Orange California and took part in the this show in hopes of getting some low-cost storage units. It was a surprise to them that they would turn into reality TV stars. Over the course of the series they proved to be extremely shrewd bidders, and were subsequently the top performers on the reality show. The success of the show's reality boosted their company and they were able to establish a second shop in addition to the one they were running. The spin-off Brandi & Jarrod: Married to the Job was invented following their appearance on Storage Wars.
