Yael Stone

Stone was born in Sydney and was raised in Sydney. She studied at The Newtown High School of the Performing Arts (NIDA) as well as The National Institute of Dramatic Art. Stone was first introduced to acting when was only a small child. She was in the roles of Me Myself and The Farm. Stone was primarily involved in theatre. In 2008, at the Sydney Theatre Awards, she received awards for the Best Newcomer as well as Best Supporting Actress, for her role on The Kid. She also worked in television and film, with roles as supporting actors in All Saints as well as Spirited. She also starred as a lead in The Diary of a Madman. The role won her a second nomination for the Sydney Theatre Awards as Best Supporting actor. She flew from Sydney to New York in February 2011 to take part in the Brooklyn Academy of Music production of The Diary of a Madman.
